Dr. Michael Streitz

Dr. Michael grew up in Duluth, Minnesota and completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Wisconsin, Madison in Neurobiology. He later earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and Master of Public Health degrees from the University of Minnesota in 2023. Before returning to clinical practice in 2026, Dr. Michael worked in policy and regulatory roles with the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and U.S. Congress where he focused on issues related to food safety, infectious disease, and One Health. These experiences continue to inform his approach to veterinary medicine, emphasizing both individual patient outcomes and population-level health. Dr. Michael enjoys the problem solving aspect of medicine and has particular interests in infectious disease, preventive care, and client education. His background in public health and regulatory work brings an added perspective to everyday practice, especially when it comes to disease prevention and evidence based medicine.
