Acupuncture

Acupuncture for Dogs & Cats in St. Paul, MN

Acupuncture originated from ancient China as a way to harness the body’s natural healing and restorative abilities. Acupoints are areas of the body with large amounts of nerve endings, small blood and lymphatic vessels, and mast cells, which are important for stimulating the immune system to repair the body. Acupuncture can be used to manage and treat numerous conditions including pain, arthritis, diabetes, hyperthyroidism, fevers, skin conditions, behavioral issues, etc just to name a few. Improvements can be seen immediately in some conditions, or within several sessions with others. It can also be used in a preventative capacity. Acupuncture is a very safe form of therapy that can be utilized at the same time as almost any other treatment.

St. Paul Pet is excited to offer this service as it is great on its own, but truly shines as a compliment to the excellent Western medicine we already provide. Dr. Sarah Smith completed her certification in acupuncture at the Chi University under the tutelage of some of the foremost experts in the Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM) field. She would be honored to share her knowledge and passion for TCVM with you and your pet!
