Online Vet Visits with Veterinary Telemedicine in St. Paul, MN
At St. Paul Pet Hospital, we know how important it is to have easily accessible quality veterinary medicine. With veterinary telemedicine, through the TeleVet app, you can schedule online vet visits in the comfort of your home to discuss health concerns with one of our veterinarians. For simpler requests such as prescription refills, re-check appointments, and general questions, you can send emails.
In light of the coronavirus pandemic and the increased need to practice social distancing/quarantine measures, telemedicine allows you to access quality medical care for your pet while still practicing social distancing.
Getting Started
To schedule the telemedicine appointment, please call our clinic at (651) 789-6275. We’ll set up a time for a virtual vet visit during our regular office hours.
How Do Virtual Vet Visits Work?
Telemedicine allows our current clients to schedule virtual appointments with one of our doctors to discuss health concerns that may not require a trip to the veterinary clinic. Yet, not all situations are appropriate for a virtual vet visit. So, when is veterinary telemedicine appropriate?
Here are some guidelines:
- Your pet has been seen by a St. Paul Pet Hospital veterinarian in the past 18 months.
- They are having issues with skin (rash, wound, lumps, itching), ear infection(s), diarrhea, coughing, or limping.
- You have questions or concerns about your pet’s quality of life/hospice care, behavior/anxiety concerns, or diet/nutrition recommendations.
If your pet requires any medication following a telemedicine consultation, we’ll prescribe the medicine through SPPH (to be picked up during business hours), send it to you via our online pharmacy (VetSource), or we can fill it through an external pharmacy if needed.
If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to call our clinic at (651) 789-6275 and we’ll be happy to help!
